Get Involved in Our 2021 Priorities

Follow us on twitter @Togethr_Frnkfrt, post on our Facebook page,  and sign up for our mailing list. These are changing and will continue to change, given the Covid-19 impacts on our ability to gather, organize meetings, and other activities.

We are seeking your input on priority actions and programs for 2021.  These will be discussed at the 2021 Annual Meeting of Together Frankfort, February 1, 2021.

For background, here's some information on our previous work. Our priorities for 2020 included:

~  Providing information to citizens about the 2020 primary and general election process and enabling citizens to meet candidates running for office.  Together Frankfort conducted over 20 Zoom meetings and forums during the summer and fall of 2020.  We are especially grateful to Secretary of State Michael G. Adams and Franklin County Clerk Jeff Hancock, for so generously sharing their time and expertise for these educational forums.  We also appreciated the candidates for state legislature -- all but one of the invited candidates were able to participate in candidate forums.

~ Enacting state legislation to bring sunlight to the redistricting process. Together Frankfort participated in the  Kentucky Fair Maps Coalition, which worked in the 2020 session to enact the Kentucky Fair Maps Act.  Unfortunately, the legislation did not pass, however we will continue to work with Kentucky's League of Women Voters & the Coalition to ensure fair redistricting in Kentucky.

~  Building strong networks on climate change education and action

~  Celebrating the 100th anniversary of woman's suffrage. The Centennial Suffrage March, originally scheduled for Saturday, August 22, 2020, has been rescheduled until August 2021.

~  Continuing to address the needs of those marginalized by national and state policies & actions, in conjunction with our strong network of partners and cooperating organizations.
