Biographical info: Richard Graves has held several positions within KSU’s National Alumni Association (KSUNAA), including 4 years as President of the KSUNAA Indianapolis Chapter President, Chair of the KSUNAA Organizational Behavior Executive Committee, & KSU's Liaison/Coordinator for the Circle City Classic Football Game Weekend Activities.

 As the CEO of an Indiana health corporation, he has coordinated & managed health care services for people with diabetes throughout the U.S. He has worked internationally with the World Health Organization, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, and leads several diabetes research programs. A native of Indianapolis, IN, Graves graduated from KSU (1981) &  earned his M.B.A. from Western Governor’s University in 2014.

​Biographical info: In June 2021, appointed as district athletic & activities director for Frankfort Independent School System; KSU graduate, with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education.  Georgetown College, Masters Degree; currently working on his principal certification at the University of the Cumberlands.

During his 19-year tenure in FIS, Thompson has spent 16 years as a classroom teacher, 15 years coaching football, while serving as the district safe crisis management coordinator. His career also includes a four-year stint as middle school athletic director.

KSU Board of Regents approved Myers McRae Executive Search and Consulting to assist the selection process.

Committee charge:

~  Conduct a search process to identify the KSU presidency finalists;
~  Prepare a report for the Board of Regents summarizing the search process;
~  Identify and evaluate candidates for president that will include the strengths and areas of concern of each of the finalist candidates in an unranked format;
~  Make a recommendation to the Board of Regents, of no more than 3, but not less than 2 finalists.

Hannemann joined the University of Kentucky's Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering of the University of Kentucky as a post-doctoral scholar, working on full-wave electromagnetic simulation of mixed-signal integrated microwave circuits. From 2004 - 2012, he worked as a researcher & professor at U.K's Center for Visualization & Virtual Environments.

He joined KSU's Division of Computer Science as an Assistant Professor to help establish the video game development degree program. His main research interests include distributed & parallel audio signal & multimedia processing for immersive virtual environments as well as cross-platform mobile game design & development. Hannemann is a Senior Member of the IEEE and the IEEE Computer  Signal &Processing Societies. Dr. Hannemann holds degrees from Kiel University (CAU), Schleswig-Holstein & Ruhr University, Bochum, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany.

Dr. Smith teaches undergraduate English, both as traditional & online courses. According to the KSU website, Smith is currently the most experienced online teacher at KSU, having taught online classes every semester since the inception of these classes at the university. His specialization is in American Fiction, & he also teaches the Survey of American Literature classes and Special Topics & Literary Heritage classes on American Literature, among others. 

As the division’s resident computer expert, Dr. Smith emphasizes computer-based instruction in all his classes. He has published journal articles on Melville, Hemingway, & O’Connor. Smith is also a Coen brothers film fan & scholar who has presented several conference papers on their work. He was the recipient of the University’s Distinguished Professor Award in 2010.
